In Galatians 6, Paul calls us to share each other’s burdens and by doing so we obey the law of Christ. Loving people in theory is easy and beautiful but in reality is harsh and dreadful. If we want to be a community that lives out Paul’s call in Galatians we must learn how to handle our own burdens. We also must recognize that our life is often too hurried to notice the burdens of people around us. Lastly, when we recognize that the things we possess are not that important and our role that God asks us to play is not too small, we can truly begin to put ourselves in places to carry burdens of others well.
